The GPS Repeater Kit enables the reception of GPS signals inside a building. With an indoor range of up to 250 feet, the kit is easy to install, available at a low cost and with different options. The GPS Repeater Kit is an excellent choice for anyone wishing to test or design a GPS product where a clear view of the sky is not possible. The GPS Repeater Kit is comprised of an amplifier with power and a passive antenna assembled on a pedestal mount for easy installation. The input from an active GPS roof antenna is amplified and retransmitted into a room or hangar for any roaming or stationary receiving GPS devices. Other suitable applications include garages, exhibition halls, laboratories and workshops; in fact anywhere that multiple cable runs are inconvenient.
GPS L1/L2 and Glonass options are available for specific needs. Available options for the GPS Repeater Kit include - Variable gain, AC or DC Power Supply with Variable DC Out and Waterproofing. Existing Active GPS roof antenna and cable runs of up to 50 metres can be used or purchased additionally as options to the GPS Repeater Kit's standard configuration of a 30dB active antenna and 20 metres of cable.
Easily installed, the GPS Repeater Kit's pedestal GPS Amplifier Antenna assembly is first mounted in a corner 8 to 30 foot high. The GPS cable is then connected from the GPS roof antenna. The Amplifier Antenna assembly retransmits the GPS signal within the building. The Repeater Antenna is then adjusted and pointed across the room at the opposite wall or corner. Finally, the pedestal angle is adjusted for best reception in all areas of the room.
